Jboats is really hyping their soon to be new entry in the sportboat market. I know, I know, some sport boat purists will start whining that this is not a true sport baot to which I say pfffsst.
I know this is going to be a shocker to everyone, but sailors exaggerate windspeed as much or more than fisherman do the size of the one that got away. Take these two videos below. The first is from the user mendo on youtube, and is titled "Hawaii sailing in 70 knots". Yes, you read that right sailing in 70 knots. The second is from Clark Beek, and shows a video taken at anchor with clocked speeds of 70 knots.
I will leave it up to you folks to decide who is the truth teller.
Puma's latest update from the VOR has me feeling better about being holed up inside a warm house in PA. It takes some pretty shitty conditions to make me not want to sail, but they found them.
Sure, we may have a painfully short soft water sailing season up north, of course once the water turns hard, you can be sailing faster than a gunboat or volvo 70 and for just a couple of boat bucks.
